Germany - AZ Part 3

On our way to NM, driving down the very slow high way (75mph compared to 80-90 mph on the autobahn) we decided to stop at Great Sand Dunes National Park.

Even walking out there in closed toe shoes, my feet were burning inside my shoe, so I didn't get to go all the way to the dunes :( But it was still cool to go there. The sand there is super fine!

After that, we continued onto our drive to Santa Fe, NM.

Germany - AZ Part 2

Also while we were in Colorado we went to the Red Rocks Amphitheatre. My dad and I went up all those dreadful steps while watching hundreds of fitness nuts running up and down those several hundred steps.

I believe a couple days later we were on our way to Santa Fe, NM.

Germany - AZ Part I

Ok so we moved from Germany to Arizona this past month. It's about 5,700 miles apart, a 10 hours flight to Colorado, and a 3 day trip to Arizona. So this is how it all went:
We took a 2 hour drive to Frankfurt. When we got to Frankfurt International Airport we had to get our dog Kali situated. Which was a pain, because the kennel wasn't big enough so had to spend 200 euro on a giant kennel. An hour later we got on our flight. Watched Rio for the first time, loved that movie!
When we got close to Colorado we had a lot of turbulence. It was kinda like a roller coaster. I hate roller coasters. But we did land in Colorado with the smoothest landing ever! Like seriously!
We took a 45min bus ride to our hotel. Walked over to King Super (my first time) to get the best tasting cantaloupe ever!!! Colorado is known for the best cantaloupe, totally true. We bought a truck the next day. The next day we went to a lovely breakfast place called Dozens.

So if you ever stop by Denver stop Dozens for a breakfast. (:

Auf Wiedersehen

Auf Wiedersehen - Goodbye in German

It is our last day in Germany. As much as people say Germany is lame, we all made very good friends. It always cracks me up; we think BHS is lame, but we will be the smallest, loudest team out there representing!!
I said goodbye to another friend that is leaving today also. I was choking up :'( . ugh I feel ready though to turn the page to a new story.

Last Week in Germany #5, #6, #7

FRIDAY-

I was still in my friend's house until 2ish. Went home. Went to the Food Court to have a chat with a close friend. Walked around the base for little. Met up with another friend, and said our goodbyes. Walked home. Probably sat on the computer all day. Then we went out to a local restaurant.

SATURDAY-

Went to Ramstein for the day. Met up with some very close friends. Did some shopping. My friend bought  me a pair of sunglasses, I bought myself a scarf. Had Cinnabons. Went home and vegetated on the couch. I told my mom we have a Master Degree in Vegetating. haha.

SUNDAY-

We went to Church. My mommy did the sermon yesterday. We went to the Thai restaurant, I had my favorite fried rice. Our church gave us two coffee cups, one of those screens that you put pictures on, a calendar, and a plaque for my mom. Went home. We gave all our food away to friends. Played outside with some friends. Watched tv until 1.

Last Week of Germany #4

THURSDAY-

I spent almost all the morning watching new movie trailers. Here are two that I liked:

And then I went to a sleepover with some other friends. Watched Due Date, Blades of Glory, White Chicks, and Couple's Retreat. Didn't go to sleep til 4:50. Then woke up at 9. Ate some homemade waffles. And just hung around with my friends, on e the computer/facebook.
