Day 6: A moment you wish you could relive

The moment I wish to relive is actually a whole day. It's the day that my family and I went to Coolangatta, Australia, it was sunny, the water was very clear, and the waves were perfect for boogie boarding!

Got up to a beautiful morning, birds singing, and smelling some yummy coffee. Yes, I really like coffee, espicially Australian coffee *lol*. Had breakfast, got ready for the beach, packed up the car, and headed down to Coolangatta which is like 10 minute drive from where we stayed.

There was no hesitation to get in the water! I grabbed my boogie boarding, ran into the cool water....

At lunch, my mom and I went to go buy her a boogie board, because I told her that there were some really good waves. As of that, we got her a boogie board. We also got two meat pies and smoothie, yummy : ).
We spent most of the day at the beach, but later in the afternoon it was lowtide, so went to eat some sushi!

After a lot of good sushi we had ice cream.

This is the day I wish to relive.

Day at Night Project

My mom showed me this morning an article of people's photos that were taken at night, but it looks as if it was taken in brod day-light! Here's the site: http://gizmodo.com/5742383/175-photos-of-day-taken-at-night

I was much inspired by the photos, that I thought about how the heck did these people do it. Well when you use a slow shutter speed, the shutter closes very slowly allowing a lot of light to enter the camera. So all the light that is in the area of the place you are taking the photo, is absorbed in the camera making it look like day-light!

So I tried it out tonight and I accomplished it!

It was basically pitch black when I came outside besides the lamppost which is to the left (not in the picture) and the other lamppost down the street. Setting my shutter speed very low and my exposure very high, it made it much brighter. It's not quite like the photos on the website, but if i experiment more maybe I can get it like them. But unfortunately it was cloudy, unlike last night the star's were shining bright which would have been a good time to a take a picture.

Frosty came for a Visit

I took some pictures this morning of the frost.

It has been for the past few days 19°-23°F. Its cold for us in Germany, but I bet all the people in the states ARE FREEZING!!!!

My mom and I were watching the news this afternoon, and they were showing the big "Death Storm" across the United States. Yup, I'm glad that I don't live in the states right now.
